Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven

Why on Earth can't I accept as a solid non-changing rule to all of our woes - the answer is always simple!?

We have a scripture in the Book of Mormon: Mosiah 3:19
"For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."

I've seen some signs of the "natural woman" creeping up lately and I cause more chaos in my heart as I try to accomodate her desires with my life. Our carnal tendancies - selfishness, immaturity, anger, lack of patience, irresponsibility, self indulgence, forgetfulness - are so easy to excuse away. Rather than make excuses for them, I need to get rid of them, because they have no place in a peaceful life. She also tries to use facts of men and logic to justify or manipulate the "why's" in my behavior.

I was reading a talk from our Annual General Conference. And I got this,
"Have some of life’s experiences taken from you the believing heart and childlike faith you once had? If so, look around at the children in your life. And then look again...If we have a heart to learn and a willingness to follow the example of children, their divine attributes can hold a key to unlocking our own spiritual growth."

I sometimes allow myself to become bitter from experiences I've had in my life and with people. Who cares what they say or do? I shouldn't allow it to affect me. I make things complicated... they don't have to be. Goodness, step back and treat the world like a child does. At least I won't have regrets. :)
