Moving back to Utah???

No, but Amy and the boys are going back to Utah for a few months. We don't know the exact time we'll come back to New York. After applying for over 100 jobs and finally getting the one with HSBC, they informed Matthew that one of his employers claimed they had no record of him working there AND coincindentally, our high school is being bull-dozed, so they couldn't get a hold of them to confirm he got his HS diploma there... Matthew worked for Macey's for over 2 years and they switched to a different computer program or something. We don't know how many potential employers tried calling Orem High School or Macey's... but now we see why it may have been so hard for him to get hired! Since it took so long to get a job, our savings is gone and we need to play catch up.

We don't want to get into greater debt by moving out now, so we want to save money and reduce our current debt before we move. I will be working for my brother's website again while me and the kids are in Utah. Matthew and I will be sad to be apart, but we're really looking forward to making financial progress so we can REALLY move into the next chapter of our lives.

What do we need from you? Love and support. We've really thought every aspect through and know this is our best option when all aspects are considered. I'm excited to take the road trip with the kiddies and see my family and friends again. We're heading out the 13th of September. Feel free to call me the 13th-16th to help me stay awake!

  1. Oh hunny that is awful that they dont have his information from Macys. I am moving back to Utah too, Mike depolys to Afgahnistan right before Chrsitmas, so I will be moving home temporarily while he is gone for a year. I have a great book for you to read to help motivate you to get out of debt. Mike and I live by this book and it has made a huge impact on our fincial lives. It is called "Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey.....you should read it, it is great. I love you Chica! Call me on your long drive I will chat with ya!

  3. Which Macy's did he work at? My brother in law is one of the managers at the 800 N. Orem store. If he worked at that one, I can talk with my brother in law and see what he can do.

It's another small world! My husband's cousin works at HSBC in NYC. He loves living there. Are you moving to the city?

  5. I will be moving back in December or January. But we will be there in October so Mike can see his family before he deploys. We should hang out when I come out!

  6. Some certain people have speculated that this will ultimately end in divorce. I feel those thoughts are hurtful. As members of the same church, I'm hoping we can count on family to pray for us to get the best things out of this situation and reunite with our goals having been met. Give us strength instead of doubt and there you will find friendship.
