William and his fascination with O2

All three of our boys had colds for about 1 week, mostly nasal... then over the last few days, Patrick's added a slight fever (luckily only for one day) and Stephen and William's added coughs. Then Stephen had an ear infection and William started wheezing and was breathing harder and faster than normal.

With help from Matthew's mom and monitoring William's lack of progress, we decided to go to the ER. The poor guy does have RSV. He needed to be on oxygen and they were concerned about dehydration, so they kept us over night. Luckily, all he needs is oxygen and suction of boogers, so we got to take him home on oxygen. I also get to take him into the hospital to get a deeper suction a couple more times today. Let's just all hope and pray he improves from now on and it goes away quickly so he can be his normal self.

I keep forgetting!

Stephen had a fun birthday and I've got the pics to prove it... at home... AND Matthew signed up the boys for ice skating lessons.

They had their first lesson last Saturday and poor Stephen... hates it. At least at this point, we'll let him mature a bit more and gain more patience then try again. Patrick LOVES it... holy cow! I was in shock, I kept telling Matthew stuff out loud that he could see very well for himself, "He flails his arms around for balance and falls on his butt anyway, but look - he's still smiling! He loves it!" Seriously, like a duck to water - it's so good he's the one named after the hockey player, not Stephen. lol Do you all remember we took Patrick skating at 18 months old? We took him 4-5 times when he was younger, I wonder if it made the difference. But I remember even when he was two, how shocked I was that he was actually getting better and could last a long time on the ice. I have Olympic fever, I'm thinking Ice Hockey, Speed skating and who knows - the world is his!

Where torturing animals for the sake of knowledge is concerned - Stephen, the world is yours! (and I'm kidding about the torture, sweetie, pet niiiIiiice.) Steve Irwin will be proud of you one day too.

Men in the circle for the Baby Blessing.
I don't think I talked about the blessing on our blog! Matthew scheduled Jan 31st for it with the Bishop... but when I was sitting in sacrament meeting the week before it, I discovered it was stake conference! So, we kept the date and just did our own thing in a room in our church building. The previous Bishop (Brown) and the current Bishop (Jensen) attended, everyone else was not in the ward, but our wonderful family and friends!

Our first "family photo" with all of us!
